New Jobs Hard to Come By
As Americans expressed their dissatisfaction with the economy and the jobs outlook in the country, new figures were just released showing that many Americans are still waiting until the economy improves to look for better new jobs.
New Jobs Hard to Come By
In a recent poll, just a third of Americans said that they approved of the job that President Obama was doing to improve the U.S. economy. Additionally, over two-thirds of survey respondents said that they felt Obama was not focusing enough on creating new jobs. With the mid-term elections approaching and the Democrats losing steam, voters can expect to see more job creation efforts from the President’s team, whether in the form of more part-time jobs, full-time jobs, tax cuts for businesses, or something else. If the Democrats do not focus heavily on jobs and deliver substantial improvements, some believe they might find a Republican dominated Congress in 2011.
Meanwhile, another poll by Deloitte shows that many Americans are still waiting until the economy improves before they start to search for new jobs. About 1 in ever 3 Americans falls into this category, a staggering number. Until the economy improves, apparently, huge numbers of people will tough out their jobs and keep their fingers crossed for better opportunities.
